I offer courses and workshops for both therapists and non-therapists. These can be tailored for your own needs and can be adapted from the information below. Please contact me for more information and to discuss further. All courses require a deposit upon booking to secure your place.

Industry Courses for Therapists

For those therapists, who already hold a Full Body Massage qualification, I offer industry certificates in the below courses. These courses are fantastic for adding to the treatments you offer your clients and also count towards CPD points. (Non-therapists please see further down page)

Thai Herbal Compress
1 day – 9.30am-3pm – £120
A one day workshop on how to perform a Thai Herbal Compress Massage. This therapy has become popular over the last few years as clients receive a nice firm massage without any strain to the therapist. Information will be given on the history of the treatment, as well as contra-indications and aftercare. You will be shown how to set up the equipment for the treatment, and then have the chance to perform a treatment and experience one yourself. Pre-requisites – a Full Body Massage qualification.

Hot Stone Massage
2 days – 9.30am-3pm – £170
This two days workshop aims to provide you with the skills necessary to perform a full body massage using hot stones. Like the Thai Herbal Compress Massage, clients receive a nice firm massage, without any strain to the therapist. We will look at the equipment needed and the history, as well as contra-indications and aftercare advice. For the practical, you will get the chance to give and receive a massage with the stones. On the second day we will go through some advanced hot stone massage techniques including using cold stones, chakra stones and extra massage techniques. Pre-requisites – a Full Body Massage qualification.

Thermal Auricular Therapy (Ear Candles)
1 day – 9.30-3pm – £120
A one day workshop on the theory of the Thermal Auricualr Therapy or Ear Candling treatment and how to perform it. The treatment also includes a face massage, so a demonstration and practice will also be given for this. Pre-requisites – a Full Body Massage qualification or a Level 2 Facial qualification.

Soft Tissue Release
1 day – 9.30-3pm – £120
This is a one day workshop giving you the experience to use Soft Tissue Release (STR) with your clients, as part of a massage treatment. STR is an advanced technique that gives excellent results at releasing and stretching tight and short muscles. The day will include both theory and practical. Pre-requisites – a Full Body Massage qualificaion.

Muscle Energy Technique
1 day – 9.30-3pm – £120
This is a one day workshop giving you the experience to use Muscle Energy Techique (MET) with your clients, as part of a massage treatment. MET is an advanced stretching technique performed with the therapist’s assistance. It includes Post Isometric Relaxation (PIR) and Reciprocal Inhibition (RI) and gives excellent results for stretching and releasing tight, short muscles. This workshop includes theory and practical. Pre-requisites – a Full Body Massage qualification

Extra Techniques Workshop
3 hours – £40
A 3 hour session structured as a practical workshop, can be tailored to your needs. Would you like to learn some extra back massage techniques? Or learn how to work on the neck more effectively? Or maybe learn a facial massage routine? This workshop can be used for CPD points as well as updating and expanding your practical knowledge as a therapist.

Nutrition Workshop
1 day – 9.30-3pm – £120
A one day workshop covering all aspects of nutrition and holistic weight management. This course would allow you to give more detailed aftercare advice to your clients to help them improve their diet and nutrition and also their fluid intake.

 

Introduction Courses for All
Courses for everyone and anyone who has an interest in Holistic treatments. These introduction courses will allow you to learn some basic skills to be able to use on yourself, friends and family.

Please note – these courses are basic, introduction courses only and do not give you a qualification to get insurance or charge for these treatments.

Introduction to Indian Head Massage
3 hours – £35
An introduction to Indian Head Massage, with a brief section of theory then lots of practical, so you can leave the session with the confidence to work on friends and family.

Introduction to Full Body Massage
2 x 3 hours – £60
An introduction to Full Body Massage, why it is important and how to perform some techniques. Students will learn how to perform a leg massage and a back massage for friends and family.

Introduction to Aromatherapy Oils
3 hours – £35
An introduction to Aromatherapy Oils, how to use them and which oils work well for different psychological and physiological needs. If you have done the introduction to Full Body Massage course, you will be able to combine the use of oils in massage, for friends and family.

Introduction to Reflexology
2 x 3 hours – £60
An introduction to Reflexology, learn the theory behind reflexology, some of the important reflex points on the feet and how to do a basic foot massage and reflexology treatment for friends and family.

Vision Board Workshop
3 hours – £35
Vision boards are a fantastic tool to help us visualise what we want to achieve in life. During this workshop you will be given a board to stick pictures, words, and images for things that you want to have in your life, including work, friends and family, hobbies, and personal development. All materials will be provided for you during the workshop.

Holistic Weight Management Course
8 x 1 hour – £60

An 8 week course exploring weight loss and weight control with a holistic approach. Information will be given on food groups and how to eat healthily, as well as the psychology of eating and the importance of exercise.
